OH Alkalinity Test Kits

“OH” Total Alkalinity Test Kits comes in 1 drop = 10, 20, 25, 50, and 100 ppm.

Directions:

  1. Fill the mixing bottle with water sample to be tested to the 25 mL mark.
  2. Add 10 to 12 drops of Barium Chloride Solution.
  3. Add 8 drops of P Indicator.
  4. If water changes to white, there is no Hydrate alkalinity. If the sample turns red or pink, continue test.
  5. Add titrating solution drop by drop to the end point where the solution turns turbid white.
  6. The Hydrate “OH” Hydroxide of the water, in ppm, is equal to the number of drops times the factor on the bottle.
